About Us Manifest Dance Theater, formally Xpressive Movement Dance Co., was founded on March 3, 2009 in Paterson, NJ by Veronica C. Stephen. Starting off as a performance company, Veronica saw the need to create a program where young dancers as well as seasoned dancers in the inner city can sharpen their skills in classical dance. We are conveniently located at 10 Squirrelwood Road, Woodland Park,NJ 07424 (side entrance). Classes are once a week, Saturday from 3pm-8pm.We offer classes to children ages 3-17 and we offer adult classes. Our desire is to show and explain various techniques of movement and to give information about healthy and efficient methods physical expression. We encourage learning and understanding by tangible examples of ideas,qualities, and feelings necessary to progress towards each student's individual goal. Hope to see you there! |
Owner/ Director  VERONICA C. STEPHENVeronica is a native of Paterson,NJ. She started dancing at the age of 6 at Agape Christian Ministries, under the direction of Cathy Wilder. At age 7 she attended Dance World Academy in Clifton, NJ. At age 12 Veronica auditioned for and attended The Dance Theater of Harlem where she started her profssional dance studies with Robert Garland and Darryl Quinton in Harlem, NY.She attended Rosa L. Parks High School of Fine and Performing Arts where she majored in dance under the direction of Erin Pride. While in high school she also danced with the Dance Ministry Institute in Mamaroneck, NY under the direction of Robert Evans.In 2008 Veronica moved to Lakewood, NJ where she attended Georgian Court University as a dance major. There she continued her profesional studies with amazing artists, Heather Sultz (Sultz Dance),Elizabeth Scro (New Jersey Ballet), Erin Quinn (Joffrey Ballet) Silvana Cardell (Cardell Dance Theater),Caitlin Quinn (Temple University), Amanda Lenox (Koresh Dance Company), William Robinson (Brian Sander's Junk). Veronica has been recognized by the city of Paterson and has received numerous awards for her work. |
